The Pavilion tx2500z series is a line of 12.1" tablet-style notebook computers. The main feature of this series of notebooks is the twisting display, which can be flipped around to produce a flat display-surface, and the touch-screen capability, which includes an electronic pen for handwriting and free-drawing. The processors available are AMD Turion X2 dual-cores, and the graphics card is an integrated ATI Radeon HD 3200. Additional optional features for the display include a webcam and a fingerprint reader. Wi-Fi networking is supported, using the 802.11b/g standard; draft-N compatibility is optional, as is Bluetooth support. The optical drive is a SuperMulti 8X DVD+/-R/RW with Double Layer Support, and Lightscribe capability is optional as well. There are 3 available USB ports, an S-Video output, 2 IR receivers, modem and LAN connections, and VGA-output. A 5-in-1 flash-memory reader is also available as an option. The operating system that comes with the basic model is Windows Vista Home Premium (32 or 64-bit), and upgrades to Vista Business or Vista Ultimate are available. HP's Quickplay software is also included, which allows for 1-click playback of media files. The standard battery is a 6-cell LiOn and an 8-cell LiOn is available as well.
