The Photosmart C8180 is a top-of-the-line general purpose, all-in-one inkjet printer, scanner, copier and fax machine from HP. Primarily designed for light home/home office use due to its rather small ink cartridges, the C8180 allows you to print a large variety of paper sizes from a computer or straight from your camera's memory card in high quality. Using a memory card reader, ethernet network connection and phone connection a PC is not required for a large majority of the C8180's features, utilizing the C8180's 2.4" colour display and on-unit controls. Faster than HP's three most basic offerings - specifically with colour printing, the C8180 is matched by the earlier C7280 and C6280. The C8180 also includes the same improved scanner found on the three earlier models, a built in ethernet port for dedicated use on a LAN, same 2.4" LCD screen and the same professional inkjet system implemented on the C6280/C7280 models which utilizes separate cartridges for individual colours. The C8180 does not only include the C7280's new fax machine and connectivity features (WiFi and Bluetooth standard), but also includes the forgotten C5280's CD labeling device.
