HP ProBook 4720s
$925.00
Released March, 2010
The Pros:Face recognition works reliably, great security system. Runs quiet for most tasks, rarely gets hot enough to need to start the fan up. Will run HD video at full resolution without lag or skipped frames, fairly reliable.
The Cons:Connectivity with LAN port is a little trickier than normal, may need to play with settings. Touchpad is overly sensitive, need to be careful not to brush it with your palm as you type. Click buttons on touchpad are unreliable, sometimes switch functionality left/right at random.
The 4720s is he HP's high-end offering in their ProBook line of business notebooks. This 17.3" notebook comes in two different models, the WH287UT ($1059.00) and the WH286UT ($925.00), the two differing only in processor strength and size of internal drive.

The 4720s includes all the highlights of the ProBook line, such as the spill-resistant keyboard and brushed-aluminum finish. The characteristic ProBook emphasis on security is here as well, the 4720s being equipped with HP ProtectTools and a face recognition system for logging in and internet use. The 4720s is unique in the ProBook line in that it has exclusively ATI Mobility Radeon 4350 graphics. At 6.55 lbs, the 4720s is definitely less lighweight as the other ProBooks in the line.
