The ProBook 6455b marks the return of AMD processors to HP's small business line. These new AMD processors are advertised to run cooler and faster than previous dual core processors from AMD. The 6455b will feature dual, triple, and quad core versions.

This notebook has an identical set of features as the Intel running 6450b; the only difference being the HD4250 integrated graphics card instead of the Intel integrated and ATI dedicated graphics card. AMD based notebooks offered by HP have traditionally been cheaper than their Intel counterparts and this remains true for the 6455b bad 6555b. Battery life differences are yet to be seen. With a lower price tag, the 6455b provides a cheaper yet capable option for corporate and small business buyers alongside the more expensive Intel based 6450b.
