The DL165 G5 is an ultra-dense rack server node for High Performance Computing (HPC) environments, web serving and cost-conscious server deployments.  It targets medium size businesses and web 2.0, especially businesses transitioning to rack-mount environments.  It comes at the low-mid range of the HP ProLiant server series. It comes with Quad-Core AMD Opteron™ processors, Introducing 800MHz DDR2 Memory. New Quad-Core AMD Opteron HE and SE processors are available. The 1U server is designedto enable multi-node configurations, with optional HTX slot  and Optional Visualization FX1700 or FX3700 Graphical Processor Units. It has up to 4 drives in 1U; Up to 4TB SATA, 1.2TB SAS, high efficiency options for reduced TCO, and ultra dense 1U design offers flexibility for scale-out, which is good news for web 2.0 start-ups.
