$130.00 Released June, 2010

Product Shot 1 The Pros:Good picture - images are bright and vibrantly colored. Well suited for an entry-level gaming PC - HD capable with a fast LCD response time.

The Cons:Glossy bezel and stand - attracts fingerprints and dust. Poor sounding integrated speakers. Not Full HD compliant - lacks 1080p support.

The HP S1931a is a low cost computer monitor built for systems that don't require high end HD graphics. The LCD display is 18.5 inches diagonally in a 16:9 ratio with a native resolution of 1366x768. This allows it to easily display 720p standard content in widescreen, but isn't up to the higher 1080p standard.

As a computer display for games and applications, however, this monitor uses a 15,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio to make details clearly visible and refreshes the screen quickly with a 5ms response time. Anti-glare technology allows the monitor to be used in variable environments, and the built-in speakers eliminate the need for external speakers that would take up desktop space. Inputs for VGA and DVI connections are available, as well as audio inputs.
