Where to Buy

Included is HTC Sense, a smartphone functionality that allows a user to lace their home screen with shortcuts to whatever essentials they need immediate access to: mail, calendar, messaging, browser, favorite websites, or a downloaded application. This allows the phone operation to be snappy — meaning less wasted time combing through endless menus — and more multitasking friendly. And like the iPhone 3GS (its latest competitor), the HD2 allows users to scroll, zoom in/out, and flip through web-pages with just their finger. Additional features include a 5MP camera with autofocus and dual LED flash (which is better than the iPhone), Geo-Tagging, and three virtual keyboard options: full QWERTY, compact QWERTY, or standard 12-key phone keypad. The device will be introduced on March 24th in the US on T-Mobile for $449 off contract or $199 on a 2-year contract.

Additional Information

The HD2’s predecessor is the HTC Touch HD, which sported a smaller 3.5" TFT capacitive touch screen with a 320x480 resolution display. Most notable about the HD2 is that it can be used to replace a conventional automobile GPS system.
