The HTC Pure is a Windows Mobile 6.5 based, AT&T smartphone released in October 2009 as a replacement to the HTC Touch Diamond. It boasts a slightly beefier, albeit more sleek and classy design with a large 3.2” WVGA touchscreen (800x400) display. It in fact only includes eight hardware buttons — talk, windows start, back, etc. — since everything else can be accomplished directly off the touchscreen display. More importantly, the included operating system offers a host of powerful features: dual browsers (Opera, Internet Explorer), Windows Media Player, E-Mail, Microsoft Outlook, Internet Sharing, Microsoft Windows Live, etc. And with HTC’s customer user interface (TouchFLO 3D), users can quickly open an application by choosing from a bar of shortcuts laced across the bottom of the screen.
