The iLive IT209B is a 3.1 audio channel, soundbar-style iPod docking station with remote control and AM/FM radio. S-Video and Composite video output allow the viewing of any iPod content on a TV, while one 3.5mm and two RCA input jacks enable the connection of the unit to any sound source such as a TV or a CD player or MP3 player. The width is 37" which makes it a suitable candidate for most home theater or flat screen TV setups and it can be wall mounted or placed on its included stand. The 3.1 audio designation also lends itself to home theater as there is a left, center and right channel as well as a dedicated subwoofer channel which can be hooked up to an external sub if you need more bass. The dock itself is motorized and will automatically charge an iPod when it is placed in the bay, while the digital clock can be programmed to turn on the radio and can be set and controlled via the remote(the iPod itself is controlled by the unit and the remote as well). A small step up from the less featured IT188B, the relatively cheap price of this unit is a selling point considering it can be used almost exclusively in home theater as well as for it's main design feature which is playing and/or charging your iPod.
