The iLuv i1166 is a portable multimedia player for iPods and DVDs. Announced at CES 2009, this product was the award winner of the tradeshow’s Portable Multimedia Accessories category. This device is compact and versatile, and is aimed at those who frequently travel by airplane or train. The iLuv i1166 features an 8.9” TFT LCD display in widescreen format. Compatible with all iPods supporting video, this multimedia player can directly play content already loaded on one’s iPod, or play DivX/MPEG-4 video via its built-in USB/SD/MMC slot. The iLuv i1166 has built-in controls that can access iPods remotely. This device can be powered 3 ways: by AC power, a cigarette lighter adapter and the built-in rechargeable battery. This unit can also be used for photo slideshows by way of an iPod or removable media. A price and release date has yet to be announced.
