Although i own a E8600 i can still write a review on this one as the only difference is the clock speeds. For someone like me who usually uses the pc for games, porn, tv, movies & VERY rarely tv recording and editing the E8600 (/E8500) is really good that is price-performance-power efficiency works out. Furthermore i've yet to encounter a game that fully utilizes my c2d proc. Lets face it, who truly runs other programs while playing a game??? And the games that do use quad cores, well those games are not that popular anyways. Also all the forums that i've raked say that the c2d overclocks like a champ.
