Intel DP43TF

The Intel DP43TF is a very expensive high-end server motherboard that utilizes the Intel P43 chipset. Compared to many other motherboards the price is considerably higher with an MSRP of $1,005. The DP43TF supports LGA socket 775 Celeron, Pentium D, Pentium Dual Core, Core 2, and Xeon processors. As the DP43TF is server based, the motherboard is mainly designed for business and professional purposes. Advanced features include Intel high-definition audio, integrated 10/100/1000 network support, Windows Vista compatibility and IEEE 1394a support. For memory the DP43TF includes four 240-pin DDR2 SDRAM Dual Inline Memory Module (DIMM) sockets for DDR2 800/600MHz support up to 8GB maximum. The 6.1 channel high-definition audio is available through the Realtek ALC888VC audio codec chipset. An installed Intel 82567V Gigabit Ethernet adaptor provides advanced LAN support. For peripherals the DP43TF also includes 12 USB 2.0 ports, 6 SATA connectors, 2 IEEE-1394a ports (1 external and 1 internal header), one serial port header, and ATA-66/100 IDE support. The overall consensus of this board pertains mainly to its incredibly steep price compared to competitor models and similiar motherboards. The Intel DP43TF was released on May 12,2008.
