Intel X48 Chipset

The Intel X48 Chipset, also know as the Intel x48 Express Chipset is designed for use with Intel Core 2 Duo/Quad/Extreme processors. It supports 1600MHz FSB speeds, and the new DDR3 RAM standard. It also uses PCIe 2.0 (x16). It also has a redesigned memory hub for greater performance. It has the LGA 775 socket.
