IntelliTEC Digital Water Purity Tester
Getting your minerals and nutrients is a good idea in theory, but when those minerals are heavy metals such as lead, mercury and arsenic you expose yourself to serious health risks. The IntelliTEC Purity Tester measures the number of Total Dissolved Solids (TDS) in your water determining its cleanliness. TDS is a standard unit that measures the number of inorganic elements in parts per million (ppm). However, it cannot distinguish between toxic and beneficial minerals like calcium, which is so prevalent in water. And take note that this device does not detect organic material such as bacteria and viruses. Nor can it help you with organic chemicals which are also of great concern. Going one step further, the SteriPen Water Purifier eliminates bacteria with UV light, so using the two in conjunction can help.
