Iomega StorCenter ix2-200
The Iomega StorCenter ix2-200 is a network-attached storage server engineered for small/remote offices, workgroups or home networks. It is powered by a 1GHz processor with 256MB of RAM and boasts dual 3.5” easy-swap SATA-II HDD bays. Based off enterprise-class EMC storage technology, the ix2-200 provides all the functions needed for a business network: device-to-device replication, iSCSI block-level access, RAID 1 data configurations, Windows Active Directory, and even support for multiple IP security cameras. The model retails in three sizes (1TB, 2TB, 4TB), but can be expanded via three USB 2.0 ports — which can be used to connect an external HDD, printer, or Bluetooth device. Additional features include Gigabit LAN connectivity; support for PC, Linux, and and Macintosh clients; and the ability to function as a DLNA media server.
