It feels solid due to its metal casing, it has a nice big screen. Good call quality."

The colors look radiant with the high gloss finish, on the other hand, the high gloss finish does create reflections which are annoying.
The colors are good, the viewing angle is bad, the stand and finish are good, the bleeding in from the side is bad, the monitor settings menu is good, noise and black levels are bad.

This monitor would best suite a desk setup for a non-professional or home office. You could use it for photo editing, but the purist would say that the colors (of any TN panel) are not correct enough. However, photo's do look very radiant on this screen.

I would give it a 66 out of 100"

I have a PS3 hooked up on it and a DVD player, both are connected via a Sony STR-KS1100 AV-receiver with HDMI.

I use the PS3 to play games, but also to play back my HD camcorder (1080i) footage and photos. My current PC is a little slow for that. So color accuracy was important to me.

Compared to other TN (Twisted Neumatic) TFT screens, the image quality is just much and much better. The view angle is much wider, blacks are black and there is no bleeding in from the side.

I am not a TFT screen professional, I was just a little disappointed with the performance of my HP w2207h screen when it comes to blacks, noise, banding and bleeding in from the sides.

All in all, this is a very professional screen, with all the input connections, how it is build, the image quality, the fact that you can view multiple input signals via picture in picture, but it looks very good as a home theater screen. Blu-ray movies look very lifelike, and I enjoy my pictures more because of the color accuracy."

2. commented on Logitech ClearChat PC Wireless - July 18, 2009 at 6:44 am

"The Logitech Clearchat wireless is a very well build wireless headset.
It comes with a USB dongle and extension cable, and a charger.
It's a pity that the headset needs to be recharged by a separate cable and not with USB, that's another cable on my desk.

The sound quality, of the speakers and the microphone, are very good. It sits nice and tight on your head which might bother some people, it bothers me after a couple of hours.

Buttons for volume control and microphone mute are well integrated.

I like to use them while doing the dishes, the reach is about 7 meters (20ft) with walls in between. Techno makes doing the dishes less annoying."

jaapverheggen added PFLOP for wordpress sidebar?

July 17, 2009 at 6:30 pm

Hi, I was wondering if I could use this PFLOP to put in the sidebar of my blog on wordpress.

I have tried in wordpress to add the html snippet as a widget (under appearance, text widget) but this seems not to work. I don't think wordpress allows, tags for security reasons.

Any way to get this little PFLOP list in the sidebar of a wordpress blog?

July 16, 2009 at 6:32 pm

"I have the 16GB and my wife the 4GB version. I think they are great simple mp3 players that you can use occasionally for watching a show. I like the fact that it charges with use of a simple USB cable, no need to take special connectors with you when you go traveling. They are thin and light, have great battery life, there are lots of extra's you can get such as cases and screen protectors and are simple to operate.

I do not agree with complaints about the screen being easy to scratch in general for all mp3 players. When you have something portable and not having scratches on your screen is so important, you just need to protect is with something replaceable. Even glass will scratch if you put your mp3 player in your pocket with your car keys. So unless the screen is diamond, you need to apply extra protection such as 'screen-protectors'.

A real disadvantage (for me) is the fact that certain unprotected DRM-free m4A podcasts do not play.

If you want a solid and easy to use mp3 player for a low price, than you can't go wrong with this one"
