The JL Audio 13W7 is a 13" audio subwoofer, in the W7 product series. This series provides models in 8, 10, 12 and 13 inches. The core design is consistent across the product line. The first number represents the size in inches for the surface area of the speaker. The 13W7 offers a free air resonance of 23.5 Hz and a thermal power handling of 1,500 Watts, which is the highest offered in this product range. The 13W7 offers between 450 to 1,500 watts of power. Operation over 1,500 watts is not recommended for this model and voids the warranty. If you need less power, try the 12W7, which has a range of 250 W to 1,000 Watts or the 10W7, which has a range of 125 to 500 watts. A detailed product manual is included with the subwoofer, along with a visual installation guide. Online tutorials provide step by step instructions on the wiring and installation of the subwoofer.
