The JL Audio VR600-CSi is a 6" component speaker system is a mid-sized speaker in the VR series, and is designed to fit perfectly in Japanese automobiles that won't accept 6 1/2" speakers. The VR series itself was designed to give car audio enthusiasts the most bang for their buck, fitting in the mid price and quality range of JL Audios evolution car speakers. The very reasonably priced package includes two 6" woofers with grilles, two 3/4" tweeters and two crossover networks. The 6" woofer has a mica-filled polypropylene cone, 1" voice coil and butyl rubber surround. The silk dome tweeter uses a neodymium magnet to keep its size at a minimum, and is ferrofluid cooled within its super-compact housing. The tweeter is mounted using JL Audio's exclusive RSR mounting system allows the speaker to be rotated into the desired position, even after installation. The included 2-way crossover networks feature a 1st order natural low-pass roll-off, 2nd order high-pass circuit, adjustable tweeter output level and polyswitch tweeter protection. JL Audio also offers a 6" coaxial model in their VR series (the VR600-CXi), but the only common element between these systems is their woofers. The coaxial model features does not include an adjustable crossover, and has a 1" treated textile dome tweeter rather than the 3/4" silk dome. This tweeter is a also used on all the VR component speakers and is sold independantly as the VR075-CT. The crossover used is independant to this model.
