1. commented on Samsung Syncmaster 245T - September 2, 2009 at 2:04 am

"I have had my unit for almost a year now. Newegg.com has some decent reviews on this product. There is the buzzing noise issue. I've long since gotten over it, and I don't really notice, but it's there if things are very quiet. The cost of the unit is high, and there are units with better gaming performance, but if you are an artist or just looking for great color, this unit is for you. It's a bit thicker than I would like, but that just goes with the quality of the display. Over all, it is a good unit. The viewing angle is fantastic, unlike my Samsung 2443BWT."

2. commented on Samsung SyncMaster 2443BW - September 2, 2009 at 1:53 am

"I have a Samsung 2443BWT at home, a 2443BW at work, and a Samsung 245t here at home. The 2443BWT is a fairly good unit, though I am somewhat disappointed in the vertical view angle issues. No artist would find this acceptable. My 245t, which costs significantly more, has much better color, contrast, and does not have significant viewing angle issues. I have not had any dead pixels or technical problems with my 2443. Because the view angle issue is a technology problem, I don't think that other vendors screens at this price range will be much better. Other aspects of the screen, including contrast, brightness, color, sharpness, and configuration control are all very good."

They have a new hardware revision that looks slightly different, but mine is the black/red classic as shown in the image. I use it for hiking and camping. The crank power lasts a good amount of time, it works great as an LED flashlight, and the radio works perfectly. It even has a USB port where I could theoretically charge my cell phone, if things got really bad. I highly recommend this product."
