In reality, when the tube is full of boiling liquid, the handle section gets warmer than room temperature, but never too warm to grasp. "Thanks for your comments! I'm building the final prototype now, and I have the same question as Ruthers. It should work according to the engineering, but there's no way to know for sure until I've actually built one and made my first pot of tea. I'll be sure to post pictures here when it's ready."

That would be awesome. I took a look at your portfolio and everything looks super cool. For sure let me know about the shoe design, I can't imagine what you'd come up with. Have you seen the Cole Haan Nike Air women's shoes?

Thanks for the kudos. I agree that it's a great time to be an independent anything: designer, musician, filmmaker, writer, thinker. I have to point out that ProductWiki is the labor of love of the three founders: me, Amanie, and Omar. Not to mention the burgeoning community.
