One of the sleeper indie hits of 2005, Junebug looks at family life with such honesty and depth, you don't need major plot twists to appreciate it. It allows us to look at intimate relationships through a peephole, touching on sibling rivalry, the return of a golden son, sister-in-laws and marriage. Each performance hits the note just right, especially Amy Adams as the affable sister-in-law who manages to stay optimistic at the worst of times.
