Just Cause 2 is sandbox style action adventure by Avalanche Studios to be released in 2010 for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and Microsoft Windows. This is a sequel to the 2006 game Just Cause with similar open world gameplay in which the player can roam the world without focusing on the storyline. You play once again as Rico Rodriguez on a mission to overthrow his former boss Tom Sheldon on a fictional South Pacific island, Panau. This follow up features improved AI which has enemies able to use the environment to their advantage and a hybrid aiming system allowing the player to quickly aim at enemies while still giving the player the ability to have full control over the crosshairs for precision manual aiming, which is rewarded. The adaptive difficulty system will gradually increase the games challenge as the player progesses.

Details
There are several new weapons such as a Rocket Launcher with laser-controlled rockets, a one-handed grenade launcher, a remote triggered C4, and a detachable mounted minigun. There are also new vehicles, a larger impact from ground surfaces on driving control and a real-time deform system and moving parts that can come loose from vehicles. Since Rico does not have official support from the agency in this game, the player has to acquire new weapons in the field on their own accord, with a black market to purchase new weapons. Also, all weapons and vehicles can be upgraded at the black market.
