The Everio GZ-HD40 from JVC is a full-HD 1920x1080 camcorder. It has a 1/3" 2.6 megapixel CMOS sensor capable of recording in 1080p at 60fps for smooth playback. The camera records to a 120GB internal hard-drive, with recording quality ranging from 17mpbs to 5mbps, and has a slot for micro-SD/SDHC cards. The camera can also noteably record in both AVCHD and MPEG-2 codecs. The lens is designed by Fujinon and features a 10x optical zoom and a 200x digital zoom, with image stabilization. Output can be done via HDMI 1.3 or USB 2.0.
