The JVC Everio GZ-HM300 is a high definition camcorder with a low-to-middle price point set to be made available in February, 2010. The camcorder has no built-in storage space and relies exclusively on two SD/SDHC memory card slots for customizable memory cards; this allows for the camcorder to be lighter, create less noise, use less power, and more durability against impacts and breakdowns from general use due to no moving parts being used for recording media.

In addition to high definition resolution options, the camcorder also includes a 20x optical zoom for close-ups and landscape shots, a BSI CMOS sensor for increased light sensitivity in low-light environments, and K2 Technology for high quality audio as well as video capture. For user-friendliness the camcorder also utilizes a face detection system for auto-optimization when certain people are being filmed, an image stabilizer for smoother video capture even when moving, and one-touch uploads from the camcorder directly to Youtube via a USB connection.
