The GR-DA30US is the base model in JVC's line of MiniDV camcorders. The fairly low-end, inexpensive DA30 uses a single CCF sensor to capture video and stills in a resolution of up to 680K. Its 30x optical zoom is one of its main selling points. The 2.4" LCD display slides vertically over the back of the camera, for viewing from a variety of angles. Under the monitor is a 4-way stick control enabling quick access to manual settings including focus and brightness. Other features include 3D noise reduction, and a night mode for enhanced sensitivity in low light.
