JVC HA-S650

The JVC HA-S650 are a pair of flat-folding lightweight headphones that come with an over-the-ear or 'Supra-Aural' design and 1.42" drivers. More simply, the headphones rest on top of the ears without surrounding them. The ear pads are made of memory foam and make a sufficient seal over the ear to keep the sound in and ambient noise out. The cord is nearly four feet of pure copper with a gold-plated iPhone compatible plug as well. Part of the Black Series, the HA-S650 were released along with the HA-M750 in the summer of 2009, with that version sporting larger 1.57" drivers, DJ style twistable earphones, a longer cord and greater frequency response. All of those upgrades means they are also more than twice the weight of these and wouldn't be recommended for portable use, although like these they are foldable which is good for DJs or anyone traveling with them.
