JVC KD-A605

The JVC KD-A605 is an in-dash car-audio receiver that features a built-in MOSFET amplifier with a 200w max power output. The second of five JVC KD A/V head units, the JVC KD-A605 is an upgrade from the KD-A305 in that it features a Full-Speed USB 2.0 connection with 2-way control for iPod/iPhones. Other than that, the JVC KD-A605 is practically a duplicate of its peer. For instance, the JVC KD-A605 also features a variable-color illumination display with 30 preset color choices, not to mention a CD player that supports traditional CDs, CD-Rs, and CD-RWs, plus those outfitted with MP3 & WMA music files. In addition, the KD-A605 features a standard AM/FM player, but is in fact HD Radio ready, Satellite Radio Ready, and Bluetooth compatible. Plus, the KD-A305 sports a wireless remote, a 3-band iEQ, a detachable face, a 24-bit digital-to-analog converter, 1 preamp output, and a front auxiliary port that provides easy connection with digital audio players and other external devices. The JVC KD-A605 retails for a slightly more expensive $169.95 (versus $129.95) and comes with a 1 year limited warranty. Additional service plans are available for a fee.
