The P Series is a line of 1080p LCD televisions from JVC releases in 2008 and is one of the first line of HDTVs to have a built-in iPod dock. Specification-wise the P Series is similar to the lower priced X Series though the difference in prices isn't significant. Similar to the X Series and other JVC LCD TVs, the P Series use JVC's proprietary GENESSA chip technology for all the image processing and upconverting. The step-up line over the P Series are the super slim SL models that JVC markets as the "world's thinnest".

Special menu options appear on the TV when an iPod is connected that let you control the iPod directly from the TV. Watch movies, pictures or listen to music using the TV's specially designed remote control. JVC claims you can even listen to music from the iPod while changing channels.
USB Port - used to dispaly photos and slideshows on compatible Universal Mass Storage (UMS) devices.
GENESSA Chip - traditional television manufacturers house different image processing functions on different chips. JVC uses their GENESSA chip which is similar to a general purpose 32-bit CPU to handle all the image processing demans.
