The JVC TH-BA1 is a home theater soundbar system designed to deliver 4.1 channels of audio. This product is designed for simplicity, allowing users to setup a surround sound system without the need for wired rear speakers. While this is not a true surround sound system due to the lack of rear channels, JVC insists that the TH-BA1 soundbar produces a convincing surround sound-like experience with 220 watts of power. To further ease the setup process, a wireless 2.4 GHz subwoofer is included to provide deep base response. A single digital optical cable can connect the soundbar to a source, whether that be a Blu-ray Disc player or an HDTV. The JVC TH-BA1 includes an extra optical port plus an analog input as well. Dolby Digital, DTS and Dolby Pro Logic II decoding is supported for use with the Blu-ray and DVD movies. A remote control is also included.
