The JVC TH-D50 is a high-powered home theater system with a combined output of 1200 watts. It features the ability to decode DTS, Dolby Digital and Dolby Prologic II audio, and has a built-in Ipod dock. The system also carries a progressive scan DVD player that can upconvert to 720p and 1080i via HDMI, though it is incapable of displaying 1080p. The system carries USB input and an AM/FM tuner. The JVC TH-D50 also can play MP3, WMA, WAV, JPEG, MPEG-4 (ASP)/DivX, though it cannot display MPEG-1 as its successor the D60 can. It also lacks an analog 5.1 channel input connector and a digital coaxial in/output, and has slightly less speaker frequency range.
