The Kenwood KDC-MP142 is low-level a car audio player released by Kenwood in 2009 with a $100 price tag. This piece is geared towards those who want a basic car player without all the bells and whistles (and in most cases already have their own beloved portable music player that they just want to switch into the device). This piece has a front AUX input that's illuminated in the dark, which is quite handy for a quick plugin at night time. It has a full featured remote control that allows users to control volume, playlist etc while driving. It competes with the same priced 4x 52 watt Sony Xplod CDX-GT330.
