The Kingston KHX1600C9D3T1K2/4GX model is a mod to low end 4GB (2GB x 2) DDR3 1600MHz memory upgrade kit for high performance and gaming desktop builds. The Kingston 4GX model takes after the other Kingston HyperX memory modules but includes increased overclocking support which the other models do not have (faster overclock settings).

The 4GX memory kit includes a non-ECC or non-parity correction code setting, and a 240 pin DIMM gold contact area. The Kingston KHX1600C9D3T1K2/4GX memory kit comes with 2 x 2GB sticks of RAM which can be used in a dual channel configuration. The 4GX memory modules are part of Kingston's HyperX Blu series which are designed with a unique heat spreader cooling system and "streamlined" or thin fitting body design. The entire HyperX line of memory, including the 4GX model, include a special overclocked mode which allows the memory to operate at the rated 1600MHz speed, otherwise the memory runs by default at 1333MHz. The KHX1600C9D3T1K2/4GX memory have a latency timing of 9-9-9-27 and an overclocked voltage of 1.65v and a default voltage of 1.5v.
