The Klipsch RF-83 is a high-performance floorstanding loudspeaker that falls at the top of the Reference Series RF speakers offered by Klipsch. The key feature of the RF series is the exclusive, critically acclaimed Tractrix horn. This technology has been refined for the RF-83 to include an improved throat geometry for more genuine, lifelike sound. Behind the horn is a professional grade 1.25" titanium diaphragm compression driver to give precise and clear sound. Below the horn there are triple 8" Cerametallic woofers with inverted copper dust caps. These woofers have a very high stiffness-to-mass ratio and feature superb damping. The cabinet is designed with internal crossbracing to minimize unwanted vibrations and three rear-firing ports eliminate turbulant noise. There is also incresed baffle ribbing around the horn mouth for improved acoustics and premium binding posts for superior connectivity. The Klipsch RF-83 are sold by the pair and available in a cherry or black real wood veneer finish with magnetically attached speaker grills. The RF-83 is also sold as the L/R speakers in the Klipsch RF-83 home theater system.
