Koodo Mobile is the discount brand wireless brand for Tellus Mobility. It provides traditional cellphone plans, at competitive prices. The service is at it's best when it's used as a 'bargain' brand. Currently, Koodo mobile offers the cheapest wireless plan in canada, at a rate that completly outstrips their competitors. This is accomplished by selling a much more stripped down plan than any of their competitor. As far as the consumer who wants the absolute cheapest cell plan, Koodo is in a league of it's own. Koodo remains very competitive in the lower mid range, with a plan that matches the lowest price point of other companies. At this level of compition, Koodo excells best if you are looking for features such as caller ID, and voice mail, which it offers for less than it's competitors, but suffers from poor performance in the long distance sector. Long distance begins to become the telling point in the higher end compition as well, but in Koodo's favour. The cellphone performs well in high priced plans, but only if the consumer is looking to make alot of long distance calls, (or very few). Finally, koodo offers a very customizable plan, and at very good prices. A snag in customizable plans in that local calling minuites, and text messaging alotments, are bundled, and cannot be purchased seperately. However, these bundles are pretty much across the board very reasonably priced, as far as minuites are concerned. A user who uses his phone exclusively for SMS might find this lack of customization troublesome.
