The Koss ESP950 is an over-the-head electrostatic, stereo headphone that relies on cross-matched mechanical damping and semi-conductive coating to output distortion-free audio capable of pushing the limits of any instrument utilized to measure its performance. Considered the best professional stereophone on the market, the Koss ESP950 delivers an ultra-flat frequency response across 8Hz-35kHz, allowing it to produce thumping bass with incredible clarity. In addition, the Koss ESP950 comes equipped with an included electrostatic amplifier that serves as its backbone, providing it with the power necessary to generate quality sound described as being “the pinnacle of audio reproduction.” The Koss EPS950 also includes an energizer, a battery pack, a leather carrying case, a 120 VAC adapter, and connecting cables, not to mention an adjustable/detachable headband, pivoting ear cups, and soft, vinyl closed ear cushions designed for isolation. The Koss ESP950 is priced at $999.99, but can be found online for as low as $580.00. Although extremely expensive, the Koss ESP950 is nonetheless worth it for both professionals (e.g. DJs, singers, etc.) and extremely enthusiastic audiophiles due to its uncanny ability to manufacture such stunning sound, not to mention its amazing life-time repair/replacement guarantee from Koss.
