The TRENDnet TK-423K is four port USB and PS/2 KVM switch with audio switching. It is a slightly more advanced version of the TK-409K, adding more indicators, a sturdier design, and PS/2 compatibility. As a trade off for PS/2 compatibility, the TK-423K requires a power adapter, and is not powered over USB. On the bakc of the device there are four VGA inputs, each with a microphone and speaker input. There is one set of VGA and microphone outputs, and then USB and PS/2 keyboard and mouse ports that connect to the shared console controls. The mouse is emulated, so only the KVM switch itself needs to be plugged into the mouse. There are slector buttons on the device to control which computer is being output, and the audio ports can be selected independently of the keyboard, video and mouse. All required cabling is included, and the hardware can be used with any mouse compatible operating system.

The ConnectPRO UR-12-PLUS is a lower mid-cost KVM switch, geared toward controlling two computers from the same keyboard/video/mouse set. The feature that makes this model different from the higher cost UR-14-PLUS model is the fact that it only has two ports compared to the UR-14-PLUS' four ports. Features shared between the two KVM switches include DDM technology. This technology prevents interruptions in communication between shared devices and connected systems/computers. DDM technology also allows you to switch ports without any lag time. You can switch between ports with hot key controls established on the keyboard. The TRENDnet TK-1603R is a 16-port USB and PS/2 rack mount KVM switch designed for managing up to sixteen VGA-compatible computers. It features sixteen VGA HDB 15-pin PC ports and three console ports: a mouse port, a keyboard port, and a graphics port. Once connected, a network administer can easily switch between PCs via hot keys. Unfortunately there is no daisy chain functionality. However, the TK-1603R KVM switch is compatible with both PS/2 and USB peripherals, which is a plus. It, however, doesn’t support DVI displays. One noticeable weakness is that one can only see which computer is selected by looking at the LEDs. Some higher end models offer an on-screen display.

The TRENDnet TK-407K is a four port KVM switch with VGA and USB connection to computers. There is one set of USB 1.1 keyboard and mouse inputs, four VGA/SVGA inputs for computers, and one VGA/SVGA output for the monitor that is being used. There is a built in mous emulator that supports most major feature-added mice including IntelliMouse, Optical Mouse, and NetMouse. The hardware itself is multi-platform, however the device does come with Windows-only convenience software for client switching and a user-definable hot-key. All needed power for the device is provided over USB, and there are hardware buttons to switch between PC's.

The TRENDnet TK-217i is a two port VGA KVM switch with connections for a USB keyboard and mouse. The TK-217i is entirely cable based on has no main unit and therefore no mouse emulator. Because of this, each computer connected to the device must be plugged in over USB in order for keyboard and mouse control to function. The TRENDnet TK-217i is powered over USB. It requires no driver installation and is therefore cross-platform. However, the convenience KVM switcher software is limited to Windows and Mac. Linux uses can only switch between computers by using the push-button switch. The TRENDnet TK-217i does not feature audio switching, so each computer still uses its individual audio outputs and connections.

The TRENDnet TK-214i is a two port DVI KVM switch with audio. It allows two computers with DVI outputs to be controlled via one DVI monitor. Additionally, paired with each DVI inputs are microphone and stereo 3.5mm cables, and a USB cable, that allows the keyboard and mouse to be switched and controlled via one output console. The TRENDnet TK-214i is entirely cable based, and therefore does not have a built in mouse emulator, which is why each computer must be connected to the TK-214i via USB. The device is powered over USB and does not require any driver installation, so it is therefore compatible with all operating systems. However, there is some additional included KVM switching software that is Windows and Mac only, so that if the user is running one of those operating systems he/she can switch between sources on-screen, instead of with the push button.

The TRENDnet TK-404KR is a KVM switch, a device intended to be connect four computer systems to one set of user interface. Instead of having multiple computers with its own set of keyboard, mouse, monitor, microphone, and speakers, the KVM switch allows each to be accessed at the push of a button and easily switched between the desired computer for the task at that specific time.

The TK-404KR is designed to allow the user to save time and space by limiting the amount of peripherals needed to operate multiple computers; along that design philosophy, the system itself is small, lightweight, and intended to be mounted on rack within the room of use. Cables are used to connect each of the computers to the KVM switch: three each for every system, one mouse, one keyboard, and one video. While the video port uses a DVI-I connection, the mouse and keyboard are not USB and are 6-pin connections. Resolutions of up to 1600 x 1200 can be transferred through the switch to the single monitor.

Computers connected through the switch can be auto detected and also hot swappable during use. Audio can also be accessed independently of video, an example being playing music from one computer while accessing on a text document on another. Switches between computers can either be done by a designated hotkey on the keyboard, or manually with buttons on the front panel of the TK-404KR. LEDs are used to signify the status of each system: currently being accessed, online, offline. Supported operating systems for Microsoft Windows stop at the XP versions. The TRENDnet TK-1601R is a KVM switch, a device that can connect multiple computer systems to a single mouse, keyboard, and monitor. This model does not allow for speakers or a microphone to be connected the connected computers, but it does allow for a grand total of 16 computers to be accessible at the same time.

KVM switches are designed to save time and space for the user by requiring only one set of user interface devices instead of having one set each for every computer system. The TK-1601R has 16 sets of three connections for each computer: a 6-pin keyboard connection, a 6-pin mouse connection, and a 15-pin VGA connection. Each connection requires a supplemental cable to connect the KVM switch and the computer instead of the actual mouse, keyboard, and monitor. It is also important to note that these connections are not USB. Once connected, the switch is capable of displaying each of the computer's outputs, one at a time, at a maximum of 1920 x 1440 resolution.

The TRENDnet TK-403KR is a four port KVM switch, a device that allows up for four computers to be connected to the same keyboard, mouse, and monitor for ease-of-use, accessibility, and saving space. In addition to the usual mouse, keyboard, and monitor, the TK-403KR can also be used to connect one set of speakers and one microphone to all four computers.

It should be noted that all connections to the switch and computers are not USB and must either be 6-pin connections, 3.5mm jacks, or 15 pin VGA for monitors. Video resolutions can go up to 2048 x 1536, and only one computer can be displayed on the monitor at a time.
