Kyocera Zio M6000
$300.00
Released July, 2010
The Pros:Cricket's first Android offering - affordable data and phone with no contracts. Runs the full featured Android smart phone operating system. Respectable performance.
The Cons:Runs the now antiquated Android 1.6 - lacks many of the higher-end features now present on most new smartphones. Lesser known smart phone manufacturer. No QWERTY keyboard.
The Kyocera Zio M6000 is a mid-grade touch-screen smartphone designed in the candy bar body style. While it is not necessarily designed to combat higher end touch-screen phones the device serves it's main purpose to provide consumers with a cheaper alternative.

The Zio M6000 boasts a 3.5" WVGA motion-enhanced touch-screen which is fully supported by the Android operating system and allows complete customization of the homescreen and installed applications/widgets. The Zio M6000 includes individual phone features such as EVDO Rev. A, Wi-fi, and A-GPS/ E-911 support. The M6000 will be offered through Cricket with no word as to service plan yet (obviously some type of data plan will be needed) and an MSRP of $299.99 meaning of course that the actual price will most likely come down when included with a contract.
The Kyocera Mio M6000 also includes additional features such as native Google Talk IM support, 512MB internal storage memory with full MicroSD support (up to 32GB), a 3.2 megapixel camera equipped with auto focus and smile detection software, a standard 3.5mm stereo headset jack and a 3 axis accelerometer.
