It is definetly NOT user friendly

The refresh mode can take 20 cycles which the manual does not mention. This will take three years to recharge a battery.

The manual is awful. First very tiny print and hard to read. But most importantly, does not provide the necessary information.

Once the charger is lanched by pressing its buttons, there is no way back. Except remove the batteries, read the manual again, and try again.

This is a frustratating gadget and I am not convinced that it charges the battery to its full, per my experience.

bonpass makes some good points. Don't strain your eyes trying to use the teeny print in the manual. It's easier to read the PDF at the url http://tinyurl.com/5sjbz5.

I'm glad I have it... I need rechargeables in 5 different places, this is going to save me a lot of money, I'm sure. It's complicated only because it is so powerful... you can learn just how good a battery is, you can regenerate weak batteries, you can pair off batteries with varying capacities... it is definitely worth studying the options.

The unit is very easy to use and has many options. You can recharge, test, and refresh your batteries. You can also recharge at different currents. The higher the current, the faster the battery recharges but the lower the lifetime of your battery.

The refresh option takes a very long time if your battery is near the end of the life cycle. You are supposed to refresh new batteries because of the long time they spend on the shelf. It takes about 24 hours to refresh new batteries.
