Unibroue launched La Fin du Monde (the end of the world) in 1994 after a year and a half of research. It has a 9 percent alcohol by volume percentage and is a triple fermented beer utilizing a unique way of straining the yeast. This method produces an unexpectedly subtle flavour. It has a cloudy yellowish colour typical of a pale ale.
This Belgian style wheat beer can replace white or red wines at meals to enhance the flavour of most dishes.
The beer was originally brewed to honour the great explorers, who believed they had reached the end of the world when they discovered America.
