The LaCie Big Disk Quadra is a 2TB external hard drive that features four connection types for different computers and set ups. FireWire 800, FireWire 400 and Hi-Speed USB 2.0 are included as well as eSATA 3Gbits, which can reach fast burst transfer rates of up to 165MB/s. This last one, in conjunction with the included RAID 0 technology is ideal for demanding applications such as audio/video editing and database management where rapid transfer of large amounts of data is important. The design is an elegant aluminum heat sink body with a large surface area that absorbs and dissipates heat without the need for a noisy fan. Another unique feature is a shortcut button on the front panel that can launch any backup etc application of your choice. Drivers and utilities, Genie Backup Manager Pro for Windows, and Intego Backup Manager Pro for Mac are also included. This is the 'Big Brother' to the LaCie Little Big Disk Quadra.
