The LaCie Sound2 is a higher-end 2.0 hi-fi speaker system, designed by Neil Poulton and the result of a collaboration with upscale French audio company Cabasse. The minimalist design, incorporating glossy white exteriors and circular black grilles, each speaker angled upward, is most notable. The 30W system connects to a Mac, PC, or iPod via USB, and can be powered by USB or the included power supply. Inside, the technology includes a Class D digital amplifier, magnetic shielding, bass reflex, and a Cabasse wide band driver.
