The Lenovo Ideapad U8 is a new MID based on Intel's Atom processor and a Linux-based operating system. Featuring a 4.8-inch touchscreen, the device has 6GB of SSD storage, up to 2GB of memory and has internal Wi-Fi, bluetooth and 3G connectivity. Originally introduced in April 2008, the device officially launched in China during the Olympics in Beijing. It is hoped that it will make an appearance at the 2008 Intel Developers Forum (IDF) in San Francisco for details on a possible North American version.
