Lenovo ThinkVision L2251p Wide
The Lenovo ThinkVision L2251p Wide is one of five ThinkVision monitors (L1711p, L1951p Wide, L2250p Wide, L2251p Wide, and L2251x Wide) released in late 2009. Unlike its peers, it sports analog and DisplayPort video signal connectors. The advantage is that unlike DVI , the DisplayPort connector is smaller, easier-to-handle, and supports both RGB and YCbCr encoding formats. As for the monitor itself, it is 22” wide and renders a 1680x1050 standard resolution, which Lenovo recommends for users seeking productivity improvements in a multi-monitoring environment. Additional features include High Definition Content Protection (HDCP) support, a Kensington lock for security measures, and wall-mountability via VESA standards.

Pros
- HDCP support
- 16:10 aspect ratio is good for business productivity due to added vertical space (document viewing/editing, browsing, e-mail, etc...) - becoming rare compared to 16:9 monitors
- standard Lenovo business aesthetic
- ergonomic stand - height adjustment, tilt, swivel and pivot
- energy efficient and environmentally friendly - meets the latest Energy Star 5.0 specifications, less harmful materials, etc...
- resolution is easy on the eyes at this size, good for productivity
Cons
- DisplayPort is not widely supported - HDMI would have been a lot better
- not 1080p capable
- high price for a basic 22" monitor
- TN panel - cheap and fast at the expense of viewing angles and colour depth
