The Lexmark X854E is a high-end, multi-function monochrome laser printing unit based on, and with similar features to, the X852E. It also scans, copies and faxes documents, and can directly email documents or save directly to USB. It is meant for heavy business or office use. The only difference between the X854E and the X852E is that the X854E has a printing rate of 55 pages per minute, the fastest in the X850 series. It has a 625MHz processor and 256MB of RAM, expandable up to 768MB, and can handle very large print jobs. Its maximum input capacity is 5100 pages, and it has built-in finishing options like stapling and hole punching. It has security features like SNMP v3, SecIP, 802.1x authorization and SSL. It is also supposed to be easy to use, with a large 8" touchscreen operator panel, and customizable printing options like custom job emailing, copying and previews of scans. It can also print on wide-format A3 paper.
