LG's proprietary XD Engine provides six distinct methods to improve the quality of the image. The XD Engine is able to upscale standard definition analog signals and enhance them to appear almost as good as High Definition video. This television also features a builtin 160GB Hard Drive used as a Digital Video Recorder and requires no subscriptions or other connections.
