LG GW620 (Eve, InTouch Max)

The LG GW620 (also known as "Eve", or "InTouch Max" in the UK) is LG’s first ever Android-based smartphone now available in Canada exclusively from Rogers Wireless. It features the Android 1.5 OS with Quad Band EDGE and Tri Band HSPA connectivity. It’s geared towards users who frequent social networking sites, as its SNS (Social Networks Services) Manager automatically pulls together Bebo, Facebook, and Twitter updates. Included also is LG’s proprietary S-class interface, a revolutionary GUI designed for managing and navigating contacts, apps, and multimedia much more quickly and easily. Additional notable features include a 5-line QWERTY keyboard, a 3” resistive touchscreen, a 5MP autofocus camera with LED flash, WiFi, and a plethora of built-in Google apps: Google Search, Google Maps, Google Latitude.

However, posters on the following sites and others claim that Rogers' Eve is running Android 1.5 (BOO!):

I was considering this phone but that is a major disappointment.
Rogers also apparently does not provide any OS updates for their phones (double BOO!).
