The LG L227WTG is a 22" Widescreen Flatron LCD monitor designed to compliment the new look of Windows Vista. This would be a middle of the road model as far as price/specs go, with the nice feature of having a glossy screen which improves picture quality(good for gaming or watching movies). The resolution is 1680 x 1050 which provides a wide aspect ratio of 16:10. The LCD picture is enhanced with a Flatron f-Engine chip which automatically adjusts the contrast and brightness independently of each other for better image production. Other features include Wide Color Gamut which produces a broader and more precise array of colors which improves performance in demanding photo/video applications as well as an Anti-reflective display. One of the main features of this monitor is the 0ms input lag which is appealing for gamers.

- like any other TN matrix (relatively inexpensive display technology) the L227WTG suffers from colour and contrast shifting
- Glossy monitors improve colour saturation but also cause glare issues if you sit near a window or bright light source
- Color banding when contrast ratio is set below 70%
