The LG XD3 is an ultra-thin (13mm) portable hard-disc drive introduced by LG in 2009. It’s quite similar to previous XD models, save for its more slim and stylish aesthetics. It’s laced on the outside with a brushed aluminum exterior that includes rubber-padded sides for extra impact protection. And it’s also available in four separate colors: silver, gold, red, and black. Like its peers, the XD3 includes eSATA I, eSATA II, and USB 2.0(1) interfaces for easy connectivity with a PC. At its slowest (USB), it transfers at 480Mbps, but can easily be hooked up by eSATA II—rendering speeds up to 3Gbps. Most unique about the LG XD1 is its flexible compatibility, as it works with all major Windows operating systems AND Mac OS 10. It retails in two sizes: 320GB and 500GB.
