Light Tape® "Looks Like Tape... Lights Like Neon"

Light Tape? is a new type of lighting that is completely different from the conventional light 'bulb' in that it is as thin as a credit card and completely flexible. It works using electroluminescence - a way to produce light by using electrical energy to excite light-emitting phophors. The Light Tape? is made of plastic and contains no gasses, glass or mercury. Light Tape? gets its name from the fact that is a light and functions and looks like tape. It can be fastened to any surface and is available in many lengths, widths and colors.

Details

Although the light produced from Light Tape? is not as bright as a conventional incandescent light bulb, it can be used in various low-light scenarios such as lighting a staircase or the interior of a car. The decorative elements to Light Tape are also obvious as it can be used in a dark room to create ambiance. Light Tape? requires a power supply and uses a custom connection method to light the length of tape. According to the manufacturer Light Tape? uses less than one tenth of the power and is half the price of Neon and Cold Cathode display lighting, it is flexible, easier to install and maintain, reduces light pollution, produces no waste heat or infrared light, is fully recyclable, uses No Gas, No Glass and No Mercury.

Thickness: 0.01 inches to 0.02 inches
