The Cons:The included stand is quite flimsy. Known compatibility issues with Windows 7 64 bit. Bundles Linksys wireless management software is buggy and a resource hog.

The AE1000 is Linksys' top of the line USB wireless adapter released along with the E series wireless routers. This dual band wireless adapter replaces the WUSB600N. It can connect to a/b/g/n networks and is compatible with various security standards such as WPA/WPA2 personal and enterprise.

The retail package includes a base and extension cable for the adapter allowing users to place the adapter at an optimal position. The AE1000 comes with a setup CD with a step by step setup wizard allowing for a simple installation process as part of Linksys' push for a simple home network setup process. It is compatible with Wndows XP, Vista and 7.
